Freelance Piano Tutor

male,female, aged 20 to 60

United Kingdom

Description Islington Piano Teachers provides affordable, bespoke piano lessons to children and adults in their homes. We are looking for talented and experienced tutors to join our team of peripatetic piano teachers. We appreciate that each student’s approach to lessons is shaped by their aspirations to become a concert pianist, pursue music in higher education or simply learn their favourite contemporary songs for fun. Tutors have the freedom to work closely with each student and tailor their tuition according to their personal teaching style and the student’s goals. We provide 30-, 45-, 60- and 90-minute lessons throughout Islington and neighbouring areas (N1, N4, N5, N7, N16, EC1). Our base tutor pay rate is £25.00 per hour, adjusted proportionally for shorter or longer lessons. Students are distributed as required but we make every effort to provide tutors with as many students as they would like at times suitable to them. Although lessons must be conducted with consistency every week, you are welcome to accept students that are appropriate to how you wish to construct your schedule.  We are especially interested in hearing from enthusiastic, fun, energetic and reliable piano tutors. Please note: we require our tutors to provide peripatetic tuition consistently each week. Please only apply if you feel you are able to commit to a fixed schedule and supplement (if needed) with other freelance work that can accommodate these students. We are unfortunately unable to accept candidates whose studies or performance work is likely to disrupt the regularity of their teaching. Candidates are expected to make a commitment of at least 18 months. If you would like to join our tutor team, please send your CV and covering letter to info@islingtonpianoteachers.com. We are routinely in need of more great tutors and do not have a limit on the number of tutors we accept. Should you be a desirable candidate, you will be immediately added to our register. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you.
